Energy Assessment

What's in it for me?

A typical 3 bedroom home loses 30% of its heat through the roof and 25% through its walls everyday.  Simply by insulating these areas you make considerable savings on fuel bills and have the peace of mind that you are doing your bit to save the environment too.

What Are Carbon Emissions?

When we heat our homes we burn fuel in the form of coal, oil or gas.  This burning releases poisonous Carbon Dioxide (CO2) gas into the atmosphere.  When these gases build up, the Earth heats up like a greenhouse and the Earth’s climate, weather and fuel resources are dramatically affected and becomes off balance.  If we can become economical with our use of fuel, we can slow the greenhouse effect down.

What you will receive.

Part of your HIP certificate will be a rating on your homes energy efficiency. A is the most efficient and G is the lowest. No homes can fail the inspection. You may find similar ratings on refrigerators and freezers and other similar household appliances.
